Extending it over a longer period also allows us to benefit from cost reduction effects resulting from learning curves in renewable technologies. On the other hand, a longer timeframe will also increase the economic risks associated with rising fossil energy prices.

By modelling potential scenarios based on various assumptions about the development of future parameters, our institute is assisting policy-makers to take the right decisions.
